As a writer with a manuscript, it’s rather difficult to find someone willing to take a look at it, even if you know all the right people. Sadly, I do not know them, and that may or may not have attributed to the low amount of sales my first novel has suffered from. It won’t deter me from my writing though, as I actually enjoy writing this series. The subplots in this one will be deeper, the characters a lot more vibrant, and the story telling even more compelling than before.
I will be participating in the NaNoWriMo this November, in order to complete the second novel in the Tales of the Firewing series, “In Gaea’s Favor (Book II)”. I can only hope that my work will draw in more readers than I had in the past.
For now, my first novel, “Guardians of Gaea (Book I)” is available on Smashwords for $3.99! The link will be posted below:
Boy, oh boy! In the midst of writing my second novel, I managed to get out of the state and attend my first anime convention. It only took me twenty-seven years to do it, but better late than never, eh?
It took place on my birthday, and I cosplayed as Wolverine’s son, Akihiro Daken. Most people didn’t even know who I was, but those that did made me feel like doing the cosplay was worth it. I totally plan on doing more in the future and attending as many conventions as I can because the experience. My word, the experience was BEYOND worth it.
White lilies surround me
In this field of lonely times
I feel your presence right beside me
And it takes all not to cry
Your glowing smile
Your vast intellect
You’re everything to me
Ease my suffering
When I’m a mess
I’m at my worst
While you’re at your best
These petals began to fall
When you went to your rest
There’s shadows on the wall
When the sun’s at my breast
Your soulful eyes
Compassion and desire
You suffered in this world
From all the sins that transpired
I’m no religious man
But I would change my ways
If I could take your hand
And recreate my past
But that was then
This here’s the now
Absence makes the heart break when you know they’re not returning to you.
Lately, I’ve been a wee bit obsessed with Carly Rae Jepsen… which is strange for me because I don’t generally enjoy her music at all. Her most recent works have turned my head on a swivel and seen her in a different light, though. I’m not sure what took place between 2012 and the present, but whatever it was, it was GREAT for her sound and her lyrical content. Sure, “I Really Like You” is a generic pop song, but that’s not the song that I’m talking about: I’m referring to her most recent release, and one that will probably become a massive hit, “Run Away With Me”. The lyrics, the emotion, the power that was put into this song… it gives off that “Huge Hit” vibe. I certainly hope that it sees the success it deserves, as well as her E•MO•TION album, when it debuts in the states on 21 August.
Whoa, it has been quite some time since I updated, and let me apologise for that firstly. I’ve had a few changes in my life recently, with some old family returning and taking the place of a my doing nothing other than writing for the last couple of months. I am not complaining in the least, though. They’ve been a pretty positive influence and have helped with inspiring me to improve upon my work, where I’d been a bit less so before their arrival. To say that I’d slipped into a depression would be an understatement. I hadn’t been capable of finding a second job, due to funding for the first not being good enough to stabilise expenses. Everyone experiences that at some point in their lives, right? Especially in today’s job market, but I digress. The point here, is that I’m back and happier than ever. There’ll be a lot more in the days to come!
Journalister is finally 100% live!
I’ve been busy updating stories and publishing works on the site left and right.
I’ll be short here, because I have more work to do for it later, but for now you can check out these specific works that will be linked below:
